| Peddler arrested by PS Nowabad, heroin recovered | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 23: Continuing its crackdown against drug menace under Operation Sanjeevani, Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin.
A joint team of District Special Branch and PS Nowabad, led by SHO, Insp Neeraj Bhagat, apprehended a person namely, Tariq Ahmed Bhatt son of Gh Mohammad Bhatt resident of Shangas Anantnag near JP Chowk. On search, around 5 gm of heroin like substance were recovered from his possession.
In this regard, FIR No. 77/2019 U/S 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at PS Nowabad and investigation has been initiated. They requested all members of the public to share information regarding drug peddling with Jammu Police by messaging on the Facebook page or through SMS/Whatsapp to our dedicated number +91 90861 00100. We request the support and cooperation of the general public to curb this menace. |
