Mayor starts upgradation work of cremation ground shastri Nagar

Continuing its drive to provide better development activities in Jammu city, Sh Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation today on24-05-2019 conducted the extensive tour of shastri nagar area alongwith officers of engineering wing of Jammu Municipal Corporation and took stock of the various development works in the ward Sh Kavinder Gupta Ex Hon’ble Chief Minister , J&K State, Sh Vikram Randhawa Hon’ble MLC, Sh Jaideep Sharma ,Hon’ble councilor of ward no.22 shastri Nagar area, Sh Vinay Gupta, General Secretary BJP, members of shamshan ghat shastri Nagar development committee including Sardar Balvinder Singh, Chairman, Sh lal man Khajuria , President resident welfare society Gandhi nagar, Sh Chander udey Sharma General secretary , sh B.R Gupta Chairman Development & management committee & other prominent citizens of the area were also present during the tour. Hon’ble Mayor in presence of other dignitaries started the upgradation work of shamshan ghat shatsri nagar which includes construction of modernized shed for standing of persons visiting at cremation ground shatsri nagar so that people may get relief from summer& rainy season, He also directed the engineering wing of JMC to properly maintain the entrance of parking just opp. Cremation ground so that no private & heavy vehicle can pass through this particular parking which is only meant for persons visiting cremation ground.

The committee members thanked the Honb,le Mayor for starting work of upgradation of shamshan ghat shastri nagar. He also appeal to the general public to cooperate with Jammu Municipal Corporation in making Jammu city neat, clean & green and donot throw silt, garbage etc in the nallah flowing near cremation ground.
