Slathia releases Ward Charter | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 18: Ward Charter was released today by the Councilor of Municipal Ward no. 6 Vikram Singh Slathia in presence of the senior and prominent ward members. Displaying the vision of 'best ward with best services through transparency, accountability and responsiveness' the charter focuses on facilitating accessibility to the public services, ensuring accountability of public servants, and addressing the systemic problems that persistently recur and render the govt, initiatives ineffective. In his address the Councilor said that his ward has been brought on the appropriate track of development. "Adequate street light system in the entire ward, beautification of the dirty pockets near the gol pull subway, installation of the street sign boards and tiling work of the Ramnagar Chowk Lane are some points to mention. This charter shall give information regarding the service delivery mechanism and welfare schemes; those interested in them shall be facilitated. The support of the public is sought in form of responsibly availing the opportunities and timely feedback for ensuring the remedial measures. Many more support systems are yet to evolve", he added. The ward members expressed satisfaction over the proactive attitude of the councilor who travels an extra mile for public welfare and involves himself personally in all the ward activities. The released Charter displays important schemes and contact numbers of the public servants in PHE, PWD, Police etc. focusing on sanitation, security and safety, especially of women. |
