Early Times Report Srinagar, June 18: Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday expressed grief over the death of two Army soldiers in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Pulwama. Two soldiers, who were critically injured in an IED blast in Pulwama on Monday evening, succumbed in 92 Army Base Hospital at Badamibagh on Tuesday morning. Abdullah, who is vice-president of National Conference (NC), prayed for the swift recovery of the injured soldiers. 'Sad news about the death of these two soldiers in the line of duty. May their souls rest in peace & May their loved ones find strength at this difficult time. Prayers for the swift recovery of the injured soldiers,' Mr Abdullah wrote on micro-blogging site twitter. Six soldiers were injured when militants detonated an IED targeting Army patrol vehicle at village Arihal, Pulwama on Monday, official sources said. They said after battling for their lives for several hours, two soldiers succumbed following complications. |
