| Electricity supply lines on wooden poles in Doda | | |  Early Times Report
Doda, June 26: Even as the Back to Village programme has evoked good response, some villages in Doda have a number of pro0blems to address.
In Ganika, Dessa aqnd Bhagwah villages the supply lines are hanging from wooden lives which, according to locals endanger the lives of the villagers.
The villagers have taken up the matter with the concerned authorities but no action has been taken to this day.
Speaking to Early Times, villagers said most of the wires in the village are connected with wooden poles installed in the area decades ago and PDD officials choose to hang wires on tress and wooden poles which is serious threat to the residents especially childerns in rainy season.
Locals have urged the DDC Doda to order PDD Department to replace these poles with utility poles, so that the villagers will not face any further problems. |
