JAMMU, July 4: Jammu Police on Thursday arrested a man for issuing fake registration slip to Amarnath pilgrim, here.
Police spokesman said that a complaint was lodged on Wednesday by one Parmod Kumar Patra, resident of Udayagiri, Kandhamal, Odisha at Police Station Nowabad that the registration slip for Shri Amarnath Yatra which had been issued to him appeared to be fake following which a case was registered and investigation started.
He added that acting on the statements of witnesses and leads developed during investigation, it was found that one person named Sanjeev Sharma of Shanti Nagar, Jammu, was involved in issuing fake registration slips to unsuspecting Yatris. |
