J&K Martial Arts Association holds inaugural Meeting | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 6: The first meeting of Martial Arts Association of J&K (Amalgamation of Martial Arts game) was held today .Besides other items on the Agenda, the election of Office bearers of the association was held under the supervision of J&K Olympic Association. Prof Ashutosh Sharma Secretary J&K Olympic Association and Vice President Indian Olympic Association said that the motive behind forming Martial Arts Association was to bring all Martial Arts Games together as there is a lot of confusion regarding various Martial Arts Association formed in J and K and all over India. The basic motive being to promote the games at the highest level. It was also decided in the meeting that to give boost to the Martial Arts In the state and the Country as a whole, Martial Arts Association of India will also be formed in the near future after meeting all like minded sports persons and sports enthusiasts. Office bearers of the newly formed Martial Arts Association of Jammu were elected unanimously with Deepak Handa Former President of J&K Yoga Association being elected as the president with one voice. Vijay Saraf was elected as the senior Vice President of the association, Tarsem Sharma was elected as General Secretary, Rameshwar Singh Jamwal was elected as the Treasurer and Sh Vivek Sharma (Advocate) being elected as the Legal Advisor of the Association. The house unanimously authorised the president Deepak Handa to nominate other office bearers of the association, the list of which would be announced shortly. Prominent among those that attended the meeting included Abhinav Anand, R S Gill, Kuldeep , Ravi and Dr Vikram Handa. The meeting was held in a most conducive atmosphere wherein all the top sports enthusiasts attended the meeting. |
