ABVP CUJ unit submits memorandum to VC | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 16: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Central University of Jammu unit today met with Vice Chancellor and submitted a memorandum of demands. ABVP CUJ unit demands to reduce the transport charges from Rs 1650 per month to Rs 800 and there should be an online portal for fee submission, permission to study in Hindi for the students who want to study in Hindi while books should be introduced in library for the same, boys hostel in the campus should be started with immediate effect, road should be constructed within a month and there should be a local bus stop at Rahya Morh. In response permission to study in Hindi was given while for reduction of transport fee Vice Chancellor asked for one week's time and assured that fee will be reduced upto some extent and some other arrangements will be made as well in order to comfort students. ABVP CUJ unit asked him to talk with authorities and make Rahya Morh a bus stop so that students coming from local transport can easily come and reach the campus following which Vice Chancellor spoke to Transport Commissioner for the same. ABVP unit expects that Vice Chancellor will order reduction in transportation fee within one week, if it doesn't happen then ABVP will protest for the same. ABVP CUJ unit President Mukesh Manhas, Secretary Muskaan Anand, Girls Incharge Nidhi Jasrotia, Shubam Raina and others remain present during the meeting. |
