| Congress workers stage protest near SDM’s Office | | |  Early Times Report
Vijaypur, July 22: Congress workers of Vijaypur constituency held a protest before the office of Sub Divisional Magistrate. Vijaypur under the leadership of Babal Gupta vice president DCCI Samba and member of PCC! regarding the change or site of degree college Vijaypur from village Tarore to any suitable place surrounding to Vijaypur. Babal Gupta handed over the memorandum to Governor of Jammu and Kashmir regarding the change of site. Babal Gupta told that Government of Jammu and Kashmir has sanctioned three degree colleges in District Samba i.e. Vijaypur, Purmandal and Ramgarh. He said that District Administration of Distt. Samba has proposed the land for construction of college at village Tarore Tehsil Bari Brahmana without taking into consideration of local stake holders. He said that the Block Vijaypur is scattered within 10-15 Km radius in plain and hilly terrain. The Govt. of lndia has sanctioned the new colleges in J&K keeping in view of accessibility of students. Hence the college site should be at centre place and approachable by foot. |
