Road flank turns garbage dumps in Sec 10 of Nanak Nagar | | | Early Times Report Heaps of garbage and blocked drains near the Overhead Tank of PHE in Sector 10 of Nanak Nagar is making the live of residents miserable. In the absence of bins, residents and even sanitation employees dump the waste on roads as dogs and cattle squatter upon the waste and also consume it. "However, in this regard, we repeated appraised to local corporator as well as authority concerned not to dump the garbage here because, the foul smell emanating from them, giving sleepless nights to adjoining areas but they never take the issue seriously", said I. S Walia residing in Sec. 10. Walia informed that in other localities, the garbage collecting vehicle have come and lift the garbage frequently but its' only area which is still deprived from the same facilities. He further said that on one hand, the authority concerned have not blacktopped our road since last 10 years while on the hand, the dilapidated road is used to dump garbage. It shows that the sanitation authority is leaving no stone unturned to dent ambitious slogan of PM Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan. |
