Srinagar, July 22: A Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) rolled down into a gorge in Zojila area on Srinagar-Leh highway on Monday evening.
Station House Officer police station Sonamarg, Latif Ali said that an Innova vehicle bearing registration number JK13C-0831 rolled down into a gorge near India gate Zojila on Srinagar-Leh highway.
"We couldn't locate any person, dead or alive, at the spot," he said, adding they were searching for the driver and passengers, if any, travelling in the vehicle.
Captain Shubham Sood of Border Roads Organisation said that he informed the police about the mishap soon after receiving the information. |
