| | |  Doon International School Jammu celebrated the 20th Anniversary of Kargil Vijay Divas with great zeal and fervor to salute the supreme sacrifice of the brave hearts of India who fought bravely and laid down their lives for the pride and glory of their motherland. A special assembly was conducted by the students of class 4 and 5 dressed up as soldiers displaying the colours of patriotism and the spirit of bravery. Students presented a melodious group song depicting the emotions of love, respect and faith in the armed forces of our country. The school echoed with patriotic fervor as the students presented compendious and eloquent speeches and poems creating an atmosphere of gallantry and heroism. Principal, Dr Vikesh Kaur addressed the students highlighting the sacrifices of our soldiers at the treacherous mountains and asserted that the entire nation should recognize the innumerable challenges that the soldiers face and should feel pride in the valour and bravery they display while safeguarding the sovereignty and the integrity of the nation. |
