Establishment of Cluster under SFURTI reviewed | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 26: Four clusters have been approved by the Ministry of MSEME out of six proposed clusters of J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB) from Jammu Division involving an amount of Rs. 653.08 Crores which shall benefit hundreds of artisans under one roof of Cluster, said Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat during a meeting convened to review the performance of Clusters to be established in Jammu Division. She also informed that a Common Facility Centre of Sukhnag Sozni Embroidery Cluster Heritage at Budgam was inaugurated in the last week and it has started working benefitting a mass of artisans of the area. She said that six proposed clusters when established in the Jammu Division shall benefit hundreds of artisans in improving their products and livelihood as well. She informed the meeting that KVIB is on a process to waive off the long pending CBC loan and soon it will come out with a positive result. She added that the process has been initiated already and soon an order in this behalf shall be issued. It was also informed in the meeting that till date KVIB has sanctioned 91 cases in Jammu Division involving Margin Money amounting to Rs. 195.80 lacs under Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP). She informed that these entrepreneurs shall further provide employment to above 600 persons. |
