| J&K Gorkha Sabha celebrates 20th Kargil Vijay Divas | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 26: All J&K Gorkha Sabha under the Presidentship of Karuna Chhetri in association with J&K Gorkha Ex-Servicemen Association, Gorkha Nagar, Bahu Fort, Jammu today have organized 20th Kargil Vijay Divas in the memory of "War Heroes' who had sacrificed their lives in the defending and protecting the Nation.
It is also pertinent to reiterate in this occasion that our Gorkha Community though in minority in the J&K State have been defending the Nation as well as this State for the last so many decades by serving in belt Forces from time to time and thus are having glorious history at their back and worldwide reputation of their integrity, honest and hard work but on the other hand in J&K State, this minority community has not been given due attentions for their upliftment in the State and as on date their genuine and legal grievances have not been redressed by this State Government with regard to issuance of their PRCs certificate, reservations in educational Intuitions, in Govt, jobs, representation in the State Assembly as is being given to other minority similarly situated in the Sate rather this community is being discriminated without any justification for the last so many decades and still above stated grievances are unadressed and pending and to this effect this community has made various written and oral representations to the state Government form time to time. |
