Jammu, Aug 9: Former Minister and Congress MLA from Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today made an appeal to the people to maintain peace and communal harmony beside urge the youths not to take the law into their own hands while resisting over the decision of scraping of J&K,s status by the BJP lead NDA government.
Speaking to Early Times, Saroori said that every individual is condemning the scraping of special status of Jammu and Kashmir added that he and everyone in Chenab valley appealed the Government to revisit its decision.
He said that the decision of Government of India to revoke the Article 370 and 35 A is against the judicial sprit as the issue is sub-judice.
He said that scraping of 370, 35 A and bifurcation of the State by demoting and depriving it from the status of statehood. He said that they will leave no stone unturned to get its special status back added that they will fight it both in Supreme Court of India as well as on Political front. He urged the youth to maintain peace and calm and did not take law into their own hands.
Earlier he also address the Friday gathering at Jamia Masjid Kishtwar and urged the government to release the Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar Farooq Ahmed Kichloo who is in police custody beside also called for release of all the political prisoners lodged in jail or are under home arrest.
He also read out the resolution passed by the people of Kishtwar inside Jamia Masjid Kishtwar which called upon the government of India to reconsider it's decision which is directly link to public emotions. He also in this address called for peace and communal harmony.
He later on behalf of the people of Kishtwar also submitted the copy of resolution to SSP Kishtwar Dr. Harmeet Singh for further submitting to District Administration Kishtwar for its further submission to government.
Saroori also urged upon SSP Kishtwar to relax the Curfew and assured him full cooperation. He also assure the senior police officer that in case they lift the Curfew, the situation will remain peaceful.
