JKPCC to Centre : not isolate mainstream leadership in valley | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 9: J&K Pradesh Congress Committee has asked the Centre and State Govt. not to seal and isolate Kashmir mainstream leadership. Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad along with PCC Chief G.A. Mir were detained at Srinagar airport yesterday and sent back and today communist leaders Sita Ram Yechury and D Raja were detained at Srinagar, which is very unfortunate. These leaders were not allowed to know about and meet their own party leaders and other mainstream of Kashmir. It has sent a wrong message in democracy and will further vitiate the atmosphere. JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma questioned the total curbs on mainstream pro-India leadership in most parts of the state without any justification and regretted the decision to crush peaceful dissent in democracy. |
