Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 20: Federation of Self Financing Technical Institutions (FSFTI) & Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) demanded Centre Govt, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), New Delhi and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi to extend the last date of admissions in technical courses from 15th August to 15th September for the students of Jammu & Kashmir, Bihar and Nepal. Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, FSFTI & PUCA while explaining the matters said that said due to the ban on internet/mobile connection and curfew in Jammu & Kashmir after the revoke of Article 370, thousands of students of the Valley couldn't approach to the colleges for the admissions in this session yet. Adding to this, Amit Sharma, Senior Vice President, PUCA said on 5th August Patna High Court gave stay orders on the Bihar Govt's notification dated 5th July and 16th July regarding Bihar Student credit card scheme stating credit card benefits only to NAAC grade "A" NBA accredited and NIRF ranked Institutions. Due to which there was confusion in the students for their admissions for a complete month. |
