UDHAMPUR, Aug 20: District administration Udhampur today discussed the arrangements for 3-day historic Sankri Devta mela commencing from August 27, 2019 here at village Meer of Block Panchari, here at a meeting chaired byAdditional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Gurvinderjeet Singh.
The meeting reviewed the arrangements for security, sanitation, health care, transport, traffic management, drinking water and power supply, checking of rates of important commodities etc.
The ADC directed the district officers to work in synergy for finalizing the arrangements well before the commencement of the Mela.
It was decided that District Police would deploy adequate security personnel during mela days while ARTO would deploy sufficient number of buses from different locations. Tourism department was asked to provide accommodation to all officers/officials of concerned department who setup departmental stall in three days mela.
The departmental stalls will be set up for generating awareness among the people regarding the various Government schemes.
Tehsildar Panchari appointed as Mela Officer. He was asked to keep strict vigil on rates and quality of eatables at the mela. |
