Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 25: The Jammu and Kashmir Kaith Biradari organized its annual function at domana today where the hundreds of Kaith Biradari members hailing from different corners came in large number and paid obeisance to Sankri Devta to seek his blessings for the welfare of their families. The festivity began with havan, puja and singing hymns of SankriVevta. "Sankri Devta is believed to be protector of the Kaith families and fulfils one's wishes", said the Pujari. The Kaith Biradari Committee discussed a number of measures for the development of Devasthan so that in future more and more Biradari members could participate in the function. Addressing the Biradari members, R.L. Kaith said education is the best out to empower Biradari and would also be of paramount importance in eradicating the most common social evil i.e. alcoholism which in one way or another affects economic condition of the Biradari members and is often considered problematic in terms of moral values. Kaith asked the Biradari members to use their thinking power for constructive purposes and be innovative. Also speaking, Subedar Major (Retd) Gunni Ram advised the unemployed youth to take full advantage of new initiatives that have been launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi like the start-up programme etc. where they can start their own ventures instead of waiting for employment in Govt. sector. Later, the Kaiths Committee discussed a number of measures for the development of Devasthan so that in future a large strength of Kaiths could participate in the function. Prominent among others who graced the auspicious occasion with their distinguished presence included Ram Saran, Ambu Ram, Hans Raj, Subash Chander, Bhupinder Singh, Bachan Lal, Darshan Lal, Lal Chand, Parma Nand, Janak Raj, Kaku Ram, Babu Ram, Bishan Dass, Joginder Lal, Prem Kumar, Kuldeep Raj, Ashwani Kumar, Prithvi Raj, Raj Kumar, Parkash Chand, Rattan Lal, Chaman Lal, Bishan Lal, Bodh Raj, Jeet Raj and Vinay Kumar. |
