Jammu Sept 15: A 34 years old widow alleged harassment of her in-laws and inaction of police over her complaints.
According to Poonam Panotra, her husband Rajesh Kumar (Senior Assistant in Department of Horticulture, Civil Secretariat) had died due to cardiac arrest at Katra on February 1, 2019 while attending a marriage party along with his family.
"Since then my in-laws are harassing me, they have stolen my laptops, jewellery, documents and cash", she alleged, adding that she has approached Bari Brahmana Police Station, seeking justice for me. "Unfortunately, Police has not taken my repeated complaints seriously", she added.
However, denying her allegation of Police's inaction, SHO Bari Brahmana Rajesh Jasrotia said that a case on the basis of complaint stands registered and the investigation is on. "FIR no 0114/2019 under section 457,380, 427 and 506-RPC against 13 persons stands registered and investigation is going into the case", he added. |
