Rs Pura, Sept 19: A Panchayat Level Tournament in Chess and Carrom was organized in Panchyat Kaharian, Block Miran Sahib by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, J&K. Sarpanch Pandit Pawan Raina and Chief Guest Mohd. Sadiq kick-started the Panchayat level Chess and Carrom competition at Government High Secondary School Brijnagar. Speaking on the occasion, ZEPO Miran Sahib Kiran Joyti said that the main aim of such programmes is to nourish the sports talent and development of team spirit, leadership qualities among the youth who are the future of the nation. As many as 124 children participated in the championship. Headmaster Tara chand sharma, Panch Chander Parkash Monu, panch Hari Chand and Naresh Sharma were also present on this occasion. |
