Reasi, Sept 21: The district administration today flagged off the first batch of 12 MAITRI (Multipurpose Artificial Insemination Technicians in Rural India) for 3 month training at Innovation AI Training Institute, Bathinda, Punjab. Under the centrally sponsored scheme MAITRI, the unemployed rural youth would be trained in various Animal Husbandry practices so that he become a good entrepreneur in this field. Besides, the trainees would get free boarding and lodging and a stipend of Rs.1500 per month for 3 months training. Earlier, the trainees who belonged to Mahore, Arnas, Bhomag and other far flung areas of the district were briefed by LDO Dharmari, Dr. Mohsin Mir, about the objectives of the scheme. Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr. Ramesh Razdan, assured full support with technical back up to the upcoming MAITRI trainees. |
