Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 22: Punjab Lekhak Sabha (Regd.), Jammu organized its fortnightly literary meet at Tagore Public Hr. Secondary School, Rani Bagh, Digiana, Jammu today. S. M S Kamra, a Punjabi writer & Ghazal poet presided over the meeting. Writers and poets of Punjabi attended the meeting and presented their poetry in the programme. In his address S. M S Kamra appreciated the variety of poetry presented by the poets during the meeting and also appreciated Punjabi Lekhak Sabha for keeping the meetings going on regularly with quality creative literary works. A two minutes silence was observed on the demise of veteran Sculptor Amrik Singh Namdhari who passed away after a short span of disease. S. Namdhari was the nephew of S. Amar Singh Kuka, a well known Punjabi Ghazal poet &A Vice- President of Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Jammu. The contribution of S. Amrik Singh Namdhari's was explained by Jang S. Verman, a columnist on art & culture. The President of Punjabi Sahitik Sabha, R S Pura, President Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Jammu and representative of Verman Cultural Celebrations were present in the ceremony and appreciated the contribution of S. Amrik Singh Namdhari in the field of art. Dr. Monojit, President, Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (PLS), Jammu welcomed the poets who attended the meeting. A Kavi Durbar was conducted Resham Kaur Resham, Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, Balwinder Singh Jammu, Bikramjit Vicky, Harjit Singh Uppal, Dr. Nirmal Vinod, Dr. Baljit Singh Raina, Dr. Monojit and M S Kamra from Jammu and Kulwant Singh from Kashmir presented their poetry on various themes. |
