Jammu, Sept 22: J&K Wushu team bagged 2 Silver and 8 Bronze medals in the 18th Junior National Wushu Championship at Punjab University Chandigarh which held from 15th to 20th September 2019.
The championship was organized by Chandigarh Wushu Association under the aegis of Wushu Association of India.850 players 35 Units participated in the 06 days National championship. Munazah Gazi Silver medalist in the recently held 10th Junior Asian Wushu championship held at Brunie secured Bronze medal, she couldn't play fight in the semi finals due to injury. Other 02 players had some serious injury resultant left the semi final bouts. Ayera chesti and Goutam secured Silver medals while as Naveed, Heena Abhishek, Ruzeena, Talah Shah,Hritik, Gurmeet. The office bearers of Wushu Association of J&K S Owais, IPS, H K Lohia, IPS, Yogesh Sawhney, Vijay saraf (President) Ranjeet Kalra (Vice president) Deepak Handa, Bhavneet (General secretary) Sunil Harman and Sohit Sharma congratulated the team for the excellent performance in the championship. |
