SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 23: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today convened a meeting to work out modalities for 'Youth Engagement Programme' to be implemented at district level.
In this regard, Div Com directed Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to constitute Committees with Youth Services & Sports and other allied departments. He also asked DCs to rope in famous player, artists, private sports clubs and cultural groups.
DCs were directed to prepare a complete proposal which include types of activities like sports, cultural activities at village, zone or district level, date-wise number of tournaments or cultural activities with their locations (calendar), distribution of free kits, prize money, certificates, trophies, umpire fee, refreshments and other items with financial implications.
It was given out that Youth Services and Sports department will monitor and deploy physical teachers for Youth Engagement Programme in every district.
Divisional Commissioner also issued directions to the Education Department to ensure that play grounds, recently developed synthetic courts and auditoriums are available for Youth Engagement Programme.
Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Choudury Mohammad Yaseen, Deputy Commissioner Budgam Tariq Ahmad Ganai, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Shahid Iqbal, Director General Youth Services & Sports Dr Saleem-u-Rehman, Additional Commissioner Kashmir Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Mohammad Hanief Balki, Assistant Commissioner (central) Prince Noor-ul-Hamid and other concerned officers were present in the meeting where as other Deputy Commissioners of the Kashmir Division participated the meeting via video conferencing. |
