AAP takes jibe at PM | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 25: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu and Kashmir unit has taken strong jibe at Prime Minister for theatrics on cleanliness drive. According to press release, while commenting on PM Modi's yesterday USA based organization's 'Global Goal Keeper Award' and his speech while dedicating the award to the 'Swach Bharat Mission' related officials and mentioning his strong will behind the said mission's target in view of 150th. Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, S. Deep Singh termed it as his another hollow attempt towards a routine show business. As per PM Modi, in 2014, there was 40% cleanliness within Indian villages which is now 100% is also not true, he added. We are not satisfied with PM Modi's hollow claims due to following reasons, as thousands Crore rupees have been spent on the said mission including its media advertisements as an effort to change the behavior of people with no required outcome as nothing was done on ground as much needed motivational efforts, the press statement reads. It further reads, "time bound targets were given to the officials the part of our corrupt system those were found involved in giving misleading figures. So far as monitoring people were/are concerned, were used to be obliged through gifts & bribe. Rs. 12000/- was fixed through out the country as a cost of one toilet unit with no strict instructions for working on a particular approved design. How such fixed cost construction of such toilet units was possible at hilly states like Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh, Himachal, Utrakhand, Assam & NE states? No body bothered". |
