340 km road to be blacktopped in Rajouri within two months | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Sept 25: District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, today convened an officers meeting to review progress on several development projects being executed in the district under different schemes. The meeting, which was attended by officers of PWD, PMGSY and contractors, deliberated in detail upon several issues like payment for the works, shortage of construction material, fixation of rates for raw material including sand/bajri etc. It was informed that about 340 km of roads in the district are to be blacktopped within the next two months including 140 km road of PWD and 200 km of PMGSY. DDC also sought detail of the issues from contractors regarding the material to be provided by them for execution of work on roads. He also assured the contractors that there will be no delay in the payment during the execution of works on these roads. The DDC asked the concerned officers from PWD and PMGSY to expedite the execution of work on these roads for timely completion. DDC also directed the concerned officers to prepare UCs as per devised format. The meeting was attended by Superintending Engineer PWD PC Tanoch, Executive Engineer PWD Rajouri division Mohd Zubair, Executive Engineer PWD Nowshera division Pervaiz khan, Executive Engineer PMGSY Rajouri division Farooq Ahmed, Executive Engineer PMGSY Budhal Mehood Ahmed and others. |
