| Arrangements for annual Pingla Mata pilgrimage reviewed | | | Early Times Report
Ramnagar, Sept 25: To discuss arrangements for smooth conduct of ensuing Shri Pingla Mata pilgrimage during upcoming Navratras commencing on 29th September, a meeting of Tehsil level officers and Pingla Devi Akhand Jyoti Committee members was held here under the chairmanship of Sub- Divisional Magistrate, Farrukh Qazi here on Wednesday. Threadbare discussion was held on various arrangements like drinking water, power supply, security, first-aid, transport and sanitation at the Shrine site and enroute. SDM directed the officers to put in their best efforts to ensure safe drinking water and uninterrupted power supply to the pilgrims. He also instructed officers of Health to deploy mobile staff with medicines at vintage points. The Police would ensure security arrangements during the event. It was informed in the meeting that the Akhand Jyoti would be lit on first day of Navratra at Pingla Devi Chabutra in the heart of Ramnagar town on 29th of September and would be carried forward for Pingla Mata Darbar on 6th of October 2019 morning in a procession of devotees. |
