GDC Hiranagar hold Annual IQAC meet

JAMMU, Sept 25: With the objective of steering the college to achieve its stated VISION, Degree College Hiranagar held Annual IQAC Meet that was also attended by its external members, Dr Ram Murti Sharma, Dr Ram Krishan former Principal of the college, besides Prof Vivek Gupta and Prof Romesh Kumar, Heads of the PG Deptts of Physics and Mathematics, University of Jammu respectively.
While addressing the meeting, Dr Tilak Raj Sharma, Chairperson of the IQAC and Principal of the college, deliberated on the priority areas identified for college development. The external members, while appreciating the quality initiatives of the college, suggested involvement of students while contemplating college developmental plans, engagement of faculty in publication of quality research, and asked the students to stay focused while providing inputs in academics for achieving the desired output.
Earlier in his welcome address, Dr. P. Bambroo, Coordinator of IQAC, dwelt on the essence and functional domain of IQAC in the college while Prof Anoop Sharma, Co - coordinator, listed out the achievements of the college. On this occasion, the IQAC released Annual Action Plan and quality reporter, 'The QR' newsletter. The college also nominated the student members to different statutory committees on this occasion.
Present among others were Prof Daya Vilas, Prof Gurdayal, Prof Sujaut Khan, Prof Rakesh Sharma, Prof Ajay Sharma, Dr Renu and Dr Virender Pal Singh.
Prof Arun Kumar presented the vote of thanks while the programme was very ably compered by Dr. Sapna Bhargav.
