Weed out deadwood, give new faces a chance: Munish to people | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 9: Editor, Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Wednesday asked people of Jammu to come together and bring the much needed change. Carrying forward his mass contact programme in Chatha Form, Munish said, "Change won't come overnight. We have to join our hands and take a pledge that we will work towards making Jammu as one of the most wonderful cities in the country." "We cannot count on the people who have represented us in the past. They made big promises but failed to deliver on the ground. It is unfortunate that many areas in Jammu city are without basic amenities and people have to run from pillar to post to get even their small issues addressed," said Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency. He said, "The upcoming assembly elections are a golden opportunity for the people to weed out the deadwood from the system and give new people a chance." Munish said, "People of Jammu during all these years have become politically mature and know it very well that the performance matters. Non-performers have no chance of winning. It would be better for them to take retirement from the active politics and stay at bay." |
