Neitizens mocks govt, terms toll-plaza as a gift for nationalistic credentials of Jammu
National Highway to relocate Sarore Toll plaza but no plans to abolish toll
10/14/2019 10:53:38 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 14: The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI-1A) has decided to relocated the Sarore Toll-plaza but there is no plan to remove the same, despite resentment shown by all opposition parties as well as Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP).
Moreover, despite blackout of mobile internet connectivity, a miniscule number of neitizens has started criticizing the government and have termed toll-plaza as gift for nationalistic credentials of Jammu people.
According to the officials of NHAI-1A, it has been decided by the Authority to relocate the already established Sarore toll plaza, within one kilometre of distance from the existing facility. The official claimed that the Sarore toll-plaza is a temporary facility and would be relocated soon.
The decision has reportedly been taken in view of the continuous jamming at the Sarore toll plaza junction, creating unnecessary hurdles for the people, who have to wait for hours together to pay the toll-tax.
The decision to relocate the facility, would be announced on October 15 by a senior official of the NHIA-1A during a press conference but there were no plans to remove the toll plaza, as demanded by all opposition parties as well as leaders of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP).
Moreover, despite ban on the mobile internet facilities, the neitizens in Jammu have started criticizing the BJP for imposing toll at Sarore and some termed the toll as a gift to the public of Jammu for their nationalistic credentials.
Commenting on the post, another user wrote, "We have to pay the price of nationalism and supporting the abrogation in a way gift to Jammu for conversion state to UT". Another said, "It is called welfare in jammu in reverse gear", while another commented, "Picture Abhi Baki Hai".
Similarly, some other have also castigated the move to impose toll and have castigated the BJP, which had opposed the move, when they were in opposition, while some others pinned hopes on BJP leader, while another user raised question over capability of the leader.
Despite open revolt by BJP state president Ravinder Raina, there seems no hopes of removing the toll plaza so far.
