Jammu, Oct 17: J&K State Open Sport Climbing competition which was postponed earlier shall now be organized on 23rd October, 2019. The competition is being organized by Tawi Trekkers J&K, the premier adventure organisation of J&K in collaboration with Sprawling Buds ICSE School , Bantalab, Jammu at Tenzing Norgay Sport Climbing Wall in the school campus. The club has planned to depute the winners of this competition for participation in the forthcoming National level competitions to be organized by Indian Mountaineering Foundation North Zone Committee at different venues in the north zone. The competition shall be organized under the overall supervision of General Secretary of the club Shawetica Khajuria who is an International Judge of the game. Whereas Abhimanyu Sherpa, Joint Secretary of the club shall be the Organizing Secretary of the Competition, Manik Slathia, Shashi Kant Sharma & Ambreen Fatima, trained Belayers and Mrityunjay Sharma, an international sport climber, shall be the Route Setters cum belayers of the competition. Other technical officials include Sakshi Magotra, Deepika Dutta, both local judges, Sonam Sidharth, Vishali Sharma, Sunil Chakharia, Sourav Deep Singh and Narinder Singh, a senior mountaineer.
