Drug peddler gets 12 years imprisonment under NDPS case | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Oct 17: In a major success for Kathua police due to sustained efforts of Police and prosecutors, District and Session Court Kathua today convicted an accused with 12 years rigorous imprisonment for offence under NDPS Act committed by him in the jurisdiction of Police Station Lakhanpur along with fine of Rs 1 Lakh. Accused namely Iqbal Hussain S/o Manzoor Hussain R/o Seri Chowan tehsil Haveli District Poonch was convicted in case FIR no 111/16 u/s 8/15 NDPS Act of PS Lakhanpur with 12 years rigorous imprisonment alongwith fine of Rs 1 Lakh which shall extend for 2 years in case of default of payment. Kathua Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace.
