JCS submits memorandum to MP Shamsher Singh | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 20: Jammu Civil Society Chairman Pardeep Gandotra today presented a 20 point memorandum to Member of Parliament Shamsher Rajya Sabha Singh Manhas regarding issues concerning transition of J&K to UT. The memorandum is addressed to Amit Shah Union Minister for Home affairs and was received by Shamsher Singh Manhas. Suggestions have been compiled after discussion during meetings on21st, 28th September & finally on 13th October 2019 where a large no of prominent citizens and heads of trade and industry bodies participated in paned discussion with BJP MP Shamsher Singh Manhas & former MLAs Sat Sharma (C.A), Kavinder Gupta, Sham lal Sharma, Sham Lal Sharma, Kuldeep Khooda IPS and other dignitaries. The memorandum contains following 20 suggestions Abolition of Toll tax as it cannot co-exist with GST legally. Government may like to compensate the effected industries in the shape of matching incentives so that existing local industry does not suffer. Government should explore various options to revive J&K bank. Advisories issued by various countries regarding visit by their national's to J&K should be got withdrawn. Uninterrupted internet connectivity should be ensured so that It / BPO sector can be brought to J&K. |
