| Police recover illicit liquor | | |

JAMMU, Oct 23: Udhampur Police seized 45 quarters of illegal liquor near BDO Office, Ramnagar in district Udhampur. Giving details, Rajiv Pandey, SSP Udhampur said police party of PS during patrolling duty caught one suspected person near BDO Office Ramnagar for checking who tried to hide himself from the police party. The said person was taken into custody and during his search 45 quarters of illicit liquor were recovered. The accused was identified as Roop Lal son of Mohan Lal of Gaghote, Ramnagar who was arrested on the spot and 45 quarters of illicit liquor were also seized. In this connection, a case FIR No 110/2019 U/S 48(a) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Ramnagar and further investigation was going on. |
