Security checking intensified in Jammu ahead of annual Darbar move
Hotels, Guest houses, lodges, their staffs are being scrutinized

Jammu, Oct 23: Taking all possible measures to secure the peace and tranquility in winter capital and to thwart any attempt of nefarious design elements, the various security agencies keeping an eye on such elements has begin a long exercise to sanitize the hotels, guest houses, lodges in heart of Jammu town and its peripheral areas, including in Muslim dominated Khatinga Talab, Gujjar Nagar, Shaheedi Chowk areas beside hotels and lodges situated in an area around Residency road, Jewel chowk, Ustad Mohallah, Narwal, Bhatindi and Sunjwah areas by intensifying the security checking.
As per the details available with "Early Times", the police party from concern police stations conducted regular checking of hotels and Guest houses every day and the visiting officer after scrutinizing the customers staying at the said place put their signature on the entry register.
Beside cops from Jammu and Kashmir police, officials from other intelligence agencies are also visiting the hotels, guest houses and lodges and collected the details pertaining to owners, hotel staff and prepared a detail note along with other relevant details including address proofs, mobile numbers, photographs beside also instructed the owners to report the matter to nearest police stations in case they find any suspect activities from the customers.
The visiting officer's even share the mobile numbers with the owners beside gives them the numbers of senior police officials that could be contacted in the hour of need.
The police had also directed issued advice to the people to verify the credentials of tenants putting in their homes and instructed the people to get the tenants registered at concern police stations so that police can monitor the things in cordial manner.
Speaking to "Early Times" the hotel owners said that they are regularly attending the police meetings as and when police summoned them added that they providing all possible help to police and other security agencies as and when any official approach them.
They said that they provided all the data pertaining to staff along with ADHAAR Card/Election Cards, Phone Numbers, Photos beside also are maintaining proper inventory of customers and hope that peace will prevail in Jammu Division.
The hotels owners said that their business is directly link to the peace and termed peace as an imperative for the growth of hotel industry and assured further cooperation with the security forces in coming days as well, particularly for smooth transit of Darbar move which is scheduled to begin at Jammu from 4-11-2019.
