Citizens' Forum welcomes appointment of Murmu as Lt Guv of JKUT

JAMMU, Nov 3: Citizens' Forum members have welcomed the appointment of Girish Chander Murmu as Lt. Governor (LG) of J&K Union Territory (JKUT).
People of Jammu always look towards center and have whole heartedly supported the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in abrogating Article 370 from this state and also support his decision to appoint G C Murmu as Lt Governor of this UT, the members said.
R K Chadha, the president of the Citizen's Forum said that we hope the promise of benefits proposed by the Center for Jammu region to achieve, after this historical amendment of Article 370, will be fulfilled by the LG Murmu. Entire Jammu region has been discriminated and funds frittered without completing a single big project in all regions including Kishtwar, Bhaderwah, Poonch, Rajouri and other areas.
We are pleased to hear the Lt Governor's first concern of providing health and medicare facilities for people of J&K.
Chadha further said there are thousands of development issues hanging fire for Jammu region. Some left half done and some only on papers. We request the Lt Governor Murmu to save the frittering of funds allotted for this side of the Union Territory.
