Conduct of DPC for AEAs need of hour: JKATA
11/3/2019 10:55:06 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 3: Demanding inclusion of 7,8 and 9 years of Rehbar-i-Zirats' service in regular service for Old Pension Scheme, the Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Technocrats Association (JKATA) said this is the foremost demand of Agriculture Extension Assistants (AEAs) fighting for the last so many years on the pattern of ReTs.
In a meeting of JKATA held here today under the presidentship of Dr Surinder Radotra along with executive members to discuss the prime issues lingering over the years, the Association said that conduct of DPC for AEAs is need of the hour and should be taken up immediately under SRO 442.
While addressing media, Dr Surinder Radotra, president, JKATA said conduct pure DPC of AEAs against 75% quota, which is not conducted till date (in case of highly qualified professional technocrats). On the other hand, DPC of 25% quota of Field-Assistants under various categories (Matric / Under -Matric with BAT Diploma only) has already been conducted twice by the Directorate / Administration. Unfortunately, it clearly depicts, a total ignorance / discrimination especially in our case (highly professional degree holders). Moreover, our association (JKATA) , absolutely not against anyone's right but if 25% quota has already been implemented in case of Matric /Under-Matric employees with BAT only then, why 75% quota is still moving somewhere under verbal conversations.
He demanded inclusion of 7, 8 and 9 years of service of Rehber- e -Zirats stipendiary service as period of regular service be provided to all the AEAs on the analogy of Rehber- e-Taleem teachers, who have already availed the benefits in the Government Service.
JKATA appealed to Lt. Governor Girish Chander Murmu to personally intervene and direct the administration to conduct DPC of AEs on urgent basis.
