Jammu, Nov 7: Continuing its drive against drugs, under operation Sanjeevani District Police Jammu arrested one inter-state peddler and poppy straw recovered.
A police party of PP Panjtirthi led by I/C PP, SI Vinod Kumar while on naka duty at Panjtirthi, stopped one pedestrian for checking who seemed to be suspicion. He was identified as, Mohd Tariq Hassan resident of West Bengal. On search, 8 Kgs. poppy straw like substance was recovered from his possession.
In relation to this, case FIR No. 177/2019 u/s 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Pacca Danga and investigation initiated.
