Jammu, Nov 7: Pawan Sharma, Member NMCME, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, said that with the change in J&K the biggest opportunity before the youth is that all fundamental rights that were enjoyed by the citizens in rest of the country will now be available to the youth of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh also. Pawan Sharma was addressing an extension lecture on "Changing Jammu-Kashmir, challenges and opportunities before the youth", organized by Govt. Degree College Kunjwani, Jammu. Pawan Sharma, while speaking said that for many years the state of Jammu & Kashmir remained the victim of anti-national propaganda and bloodshed of innocent citizens by terrorists. The so-called Special Status, Article-370 and 35A, instead of benefitting the common citizens, became the handy tools for anti-national elements to strengthen separatism and promote terror in the state. Sharma further said, because of these two articles state of Jammu-Kashmir remained isolated and away from the development processes in the country for last 70 years. Focussing on challenges and opportunity in changing Jammu & Kashmir, Pawan Sharma said that, though there are still challenges of terrorism, corruption internal and external security and also political and economic challenges. But there are lot of opportunities before the youth in new Jammu-Kashmir. |
