Contractual lecturers, TA criticise HED order | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 13: Contractual lecturers/ Teaching Assistant (Academic Arrangement) working on temporary basis on various colleges of the state, hereby assembled in the Nodal College today against order 472-HE OF 2019 dated 23-08-2019 Higher Education, which restrain' us from performing duties which includes teaching, extra curriculum activities, sports, examinations, internal assessments, and evaluation etc., and disrupt our services. We have been working for long period on meager salaries. Now, the Deptt. of Higher Education is hatching the conspiracy for disengaging all of us from the jobs and our strength is approximately 2500 throughout the Union Territory of J&K. The intensions behind this order was to adjust the candidates who have taken status Quo in Kashmir division and thereby creating difficulties for others. Now we through the medium of press and electronic media request the Lieutenant Governor G. C. Murmu,Chief Secretary UT of J&K and Secretary Higher Education UT J&Kto revoke this order which discriminatory so that our services and jobs are secure for the time being. We request the attention of the Lieutenant Governor on the following: 1. Since the contractual hiring of lecturers for colleges are the candidates with highest qualification (Doctorate Degree/NET/ SET) are being appointed strictly on merit. 2. Violation of Center Govt. promises after abrogation of Article 370 and 35A. |
