| DM imposes ban on sale, purchase of Crude boilers, other heating appliances | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Nov 14: District Magistrate (DM) Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana today issued an order and imposed ban on the sale and purchase of Crude boilers and other heavy duty heating appliances in and around the vicinity of District Kishtwar, under Section 144 Cr. PC.
The order issued by DM Kishtwar reads that," It has come into the notice of District Magistrate (DM) Kishtwar, that during the arrival of winter season shopkeepers /vendors are found selling Crude boilers, heaters and other heavy duty heating appliances in and around the vicinity of Kishtwar town leading to excessive overloading of the power system and subsequent damage to the distribution Transformers and snapping of conductors.
The order further reads that, this often leads to fire hazards thereby putting the life and property of consumers at risk besides it also tantamounts to the theft of electricity as excess load on the line is always an illegal load as such is liable to be booked under relevant sections of law." |
