Distt Admin's prompt action restored traffic movement on NH within hours | | | Early Times Report
Ramban, Nov 23: District administration's prompt action and quick planning today ensured restoration of traffic movement at the only all-weather road linking Kashmir with rest of the country at Panthyal, Maroge and Anokhifall in Ramban within a short span of time. In this regard, District Development Commissioner, Nazim Zia Khan, alongwith SSP Ramban Anita Sharma personally monitored the road clearance operation at Digdole. The landslide had blocked the National Highway at Panthyal, Maroge and Anokhifall in Ramban district last night. The administration started immediate road clearance operation and road was restored at 3 pm for traffic. DDC also monitored arrangements being made by the administration for stranded passengers. He said that District Administration has already made all sufficient arrangements for convenience of stranded passengers at various places on national highway. DDC advised the people to start their journey on national highway only after confirming status of the road from traffic police control room and as per the weather condition. |
