Jammu, Nov 23: Block Development Officer Bishnah held a press conference with the local media and informed them about the launch of Back to Village Phase II by the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir starting from 25th November to 30th November. It was informed that the block Bishnah is falling in Phase I where senior officer of the different departments shall be visiting.
The programme is for 1 night and 2 days programme will focus on four main goals viz energizing panchayats, collecting feedback on delivery of government schemes/programmes, capturing specific economic potential and undertaking assessment of needs of the villages besides affording an opportunity to gazette Officers to visit the villages, the spokesman said. Programme will involve the people of the state and government officials in a joint effort to deliver the mission of equitable development across all our rural areas. The programme is primarily aimed at energizing the 4,483 panchayats and directing development efforts in rural areas through community participation and to create in the rural masses an earnest desire for decent standard of living. The officers shall be staying in the panchayats. The major emphasis of the programme this time is assessing that the grass root level democracy has been strengthened. |
