Sat starts developmental works in Pamposh Colony | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 2: Former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) started construction works of lane at Sector 1, Pamposh Colony, Near Shiv Temple, Ward 38. Sharma was also accompanied by a large number of people including Corporator Ward 38 Surinder Sharma, District President BJP Munish Khajuria, Mandal President Raveesh Mengi, JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation) officials, local residents and political activists of the area. The works are being done under the supervision of JMC at an estimated cost of Rupees 10.61 lakhs and the funds were sanctioned from the CDF (Constituency Development Fund) scheme of Former MLA which was sanctioned during his tenure and its work was delayed due to code of conduct of elections and other reasons, but the work was taken up as soon as the process got cleared. Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that the main concern in Ward 38 was decades old water pipes and sewerage system which was totally replaced during his tenure as MLA. He said hundreds of crores were spent and the works were done under the supervision ERA (Economic Reconstruction Agency) in all 26 wards of Jammu West Assembly segment and this work solved many problems of locals. He stated that now houses in the Constituency including Ward 38 have clean drinking water and a channelized sewerage system which was a problem earlier from more than 30 years which has also improved sanitation system in the area and has also contributed in promoting "SWACH BHARAT" vision of our hard working Prime Minister Narendra Modi. |
