| PDD continues its drive against illegal connections | | |

Jammu, Dec 5: Power Distribution Corporation ltd today conducted a checking in Bari Brahmana area under the supervision of AEE Electrical Er Rajeev Sharma. The drive was conducted to disconnect the illegal hookings and to unearth the concealed load used by the consumers. The main focus of the drive was to check the pilferages and educate the masses about the judicious use of electricity and use of power as per agreemented load. A large number of of illegal hookings were removed and 20 kw load was regularised and fine of Rs 20000 was imposed on violators. Power development has advised people not to resort to illegal hooking and drawal of power in excess of agreemented load in order to enable the department to maintain reliable power supply.
