Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 6: Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) have expressed concern over the nomination of only nurses from Kashmir region for National Florence Nightingale award, which was awarded on 5th of December. A meeting of JKMEF was held under the chairmanship of Sushil Sudan, who criticized the partial and discriminatory approach of the Indian National Nursing Council as well as the Health and Medical Education Department of UT J&K for constantly ignoring the contribution of nurses of Jammu region. Sudan asked that is there no nurse, who rendered her meritorious services and entitled for the above said award? It is failure of the concerned authority who has completely failed to highlight the services of Jammu province's nurses, he said. The prominent office bearers of the Federation who were the part of the meeting namely Choudhary Jarnail Singh, Kamaljeet Sawney, Hoshyar Singh, Shabnam Begum, Suryia Bani, Roshi Dubey, Parveen Kumari, Aeney, Santosh, R.P Singh, Mohd. Saleem, and Sonia Sharma. |
