The resolution further stated "the prolonged ban on mobile internet services has adversely impacted upon normal life causing irreparable damage in diverse forms to various sections of society. The Students, Traders, Professionals besides the public at large has been badly hit due to the unending blockade of internet services. The students who are largely dependent upon online studies have immensely suffered during the last around four months of internet ban with no signs of its restoration in the near future. Traders have pegged the losses in several hundreds of crores. The Professionals, Bankers, Transporters, Civil Society have all been the sufferers of the ill conceived move with none to listen to the shrill cries of the public. The people of Jammu are hard core nationalists and government's plea that internet will be used for anti national activities is being seen as an insult to the patriotic sentiments of Dogras. The government's version is therefore totally unacceptable. |
