Jammu, Dec 9: The NSS volunteers of Dogra Degree College, Bari Brahmana visited Govt. High School of Palli Morh for the purpose of spreading awareness about hygiene among the students. The NSS coordinator Dogra Degree College along with the other members took the initiative for this drive. Madhvi Chib of B.Com 1st semester gave a presentation on the topic "Personal Hygiene". In her presentation, she highlighted that we interact with different organisms on a daily basis, exposing ourselves to a wide range of infectious or communicable diseases like diarrheal diseases, lower respiratory diseases, and tuberculosis. Failure to look after ourselves and our hygiene can increase our risk of developing any of the conditions above and can prove deadly too. The NSS volunteers during an interaction with their audiences which included students from classes 1 to 8, motivated all to Wash Hands and Keep our Body Tidy, Make Oral Hygiene a Priority, Cook in Clean Conditions and Stay Safe During Travel. With help of posters and pamphlets they told them in detail as to how to maintain personal hygiene. The purpose of this awareness drive was to spread the message of maintaining good health by keeping ourselves and our environment clean and to ensure that illness is avoided. |
