12/9/2019 9:42:11 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 9: Senior Leader Jammu and Kashmir National Conference and Former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra has in a press statement issued here today strongly condemned the BJP Government at the centre and in Jammu and Kashmir for stopping Developmental Activities in Jammu and Kashmir.
BJP Govt. is taking Jammu and Kashmir especially Jammu for granted. He slammed BJP for squeezing funds for Developmental activities in the name of New Jammu and Kashmir. Is this BJP's New Jammu and Kashmir with no Developmental Activities askd Sadhotra.
The people of Jammu and Kashmir are already feeling duped by BJP Govt. for downgrading State to Union Territory and further Developmental Activities have been stopped. Sometime Back BJP announced for completing languishing projects but to utter surprise it was only public consumption and Media Hype.
To substantiate, the Sports Stadium in Marh and Multipurpose Community centre at Halqa in Marh Assembly Constituency are glaring examples of giving only Media Hype still two said works are languishing said Sadhotra.
BJP Govt. is not releasing funds under MGNREGA for Developmental Activities in Rural Areas of Jammu and Kashmir moreover thousands of crores of liability is still not released he said.
BJP Govt. also gave Media Hype to Panchayat Elections but has made mockery of the basic democratic institutions by pushing them towards the wall and day has come even most of the BJP Sarpanchs and Panchs are agitating by resorting to hunger strike in Jammu for getting liabilities of Crores of Rupees released, enhancement of their monthly wages and for their adequate security not to talk of opposition parties. We are the largest democracy of the workd. We should make all efforts to further strengthen Basic Grass Root Democratic Institutions instead of weakening them by compelling them to resort to agitations for their genuine cause and problems. Senior Leader National Conference asserted.
Sadhotra has demanded for immediate release of funds for clearing liabilities of all the departments, Rural Development, R&B and Irrigation and more over funds be released a fresh for further expediting Developmental Activities otherwise already hurt people after downgrading State to Union Territory shall alienate which is not in the National Interest.
